I recently completed the illustrations for two books for a new character called "Mark the Mountain Guide."
He was co-conceived and written by Sam Williams and Mark Seaton (a real Mark the mountain guide) and published by Boxer Books.

 Mark 1 called "Mark the Mountain Guide" was published in September 2008.

This book has a giveaway children's carabiner* and rope enclosed in the cover.



*A carabiner is a metal ring with a springy opener, called a gate, which safely attaches to your rope.

  

Mark 2 called "Mark the Mountain Guide and the Compass Adventure" was published in April 2009.

This book has a giveaway compass enclosed in the cover.


Each book leads with an exciting adventure story, then at the back each has a guide section explaining everything you need to know about mountains and mountain climbing.
